Connect Gong

Customer-facing calls with transcripts + (consent gated) audio ingest for Whisper transcription.

Prerequisites

Gong account admin (required to generate API keys)
A PerfCopilot admin account (the Connect button is only visible to admins)
Consent gate: consent_to_audio_ingest MUST be enabled if you want PerfCopilot to download + transcribe audio for calls without inline transcripts

1. Generate credentials in Gong

Sign in to https://app.gong.io.
Open Company Settings → API.

Click Generate.
Copy the Access Key and Access Key Secret shown on screen.

Copy these values; you'll paste them in the next step:

access_key_secret

2. Paste into PerfCopilot

Open Integrations on your PerfCopilot admin.
Find the Gong card and click Connect (or Manage if already configured).
Paste each value into the matching field:

Click Save.

The Gong credential drawer in PerfCopilot — paste your values, then click Save.

3. Verify

Click Test in the drawer. Expected:

✅ Authenticated as your.name@company.com

Common errors

| Message | What it usually means | Fix | |---|---|---| | HTTP 401: invalid api keys | Access key and secret were swapped. | Re-open the Gong API page and re-copy each value into the matching field. | | HTTP 403: scope missing | The API user doesn't have the right access in Gong. | Ask a Gong admin to grant API access to your user in Gong settings, then re-test. | | HTTP 401: <body excerpt> | Credentials rejected. | Re-check that you copied the full token, no leading/trailing whitespace. |
